This project reimagines a mid century bungalow with two external interventions and an extensive remodelling of the interior. The result is a contemporary open plan home which is optimised for the occupants way of living.

The design expands the volume of the existing footprint with two vaulted extensions designed to address the landscaped gardens at the front and rear of the property.

The whole house will be upgraded with new thermally efficient windows, insulation and heating systems to future proof the home and create a comfortable living environment.

Inspired by the client's brief, materials have been carefully selected for their natural performance characteristics, be it thermal or embodied energy, natural materials have been prioritised.
