Located in the South Lakes the design of this new contemporary home is set amongst the fells with dramatic views over the lake beyond. The heart of the house is arranged around a rectangular volume surrounded by living spaces to create a private courtyard.

 

The interlocking form provides two levels of accommodation designed as an outcrop on the hillside. The design provides a sophisticated yet comfortable home drawn from classical proportions. Large openings frame views of the mountains, which are complimented with south facing balconies.

The house is to be made from high performance materials, fixtures and fittings as part of the bespoke design brief. Massive Architecture are exploring the seamless integration of technology and services alongside high specification finishes to create calm, elegant living spaces.
