​Work at Lands Lane has developed over a decade with a close relationship between homeowner and Architect. From analysis of the existing floorplans and particulars through various extensions and internal works, Massive have helped shape this large family home to suit the changing needs of its occupants.

The house was originally designed by a locally prevalent architectural practice to generous proportions albeit with a dated layout. The family sought to create open space for living, entertaining and relaxing; more suited to their lifestyle.

Following the careful addition of an orangery to make use of the central axis, further works have included a new central staircase as a grand focal point to the entranceway. The master suite has been redesigned to provide walk-in dressing rooms and an elegant en-suite bathroom.

The design makes use of the steep change in level across the site, interlocking access and functional space to unlock the potential of the home. The design also provides a fitness studio, garaging and dog wash facilities all of which is added whilst managing the built form and achieving planning consent in a sensitive location.
